Hi Wei, WiDo, Nicolas, We completed the code freeze for CloudStack 4.23 in the first week of July and have since been progressing through the release candidate cycle (RC1, RC2, and subsequent candidates), addressing issues based on their severity and impact.
I wanted to check whether there is still an opportunity to include a few additional enhancements related to the NetApp ONTAP plugin in the 4.23 release. These changes are specific to the ONTAP storage plugin and are isolated in scope, so they are not expected to affect any common CloudStack workflows or use cases. In addition, we have identified a few fixes that would benefit the common codebase, including: A missing storage pool update call during the pool resize workflow. Setting the CloudStack volume format appropriately based on the underlying hypervisor. Addressing a few corner cases for vendors that support the hypervisor type as ANY. Enabling and supporting iSCSI-backed VM snapshot workflows from the CloudStack UI, which are currently available only through APIs. We can optimize and plan to contribute these common fixes as part of the same upstream PR. Given the planned 4.23 release timeline, we would appreciate your guidance on whether these changes can still be considered for inclusion. Based on your feedback, we can prioritise opening the upstream PRs at the earliest. Thank you for your guidance. Regards Rajiv Jain NetApp
