This is another reason for a Bugzilla-upgrade:

A.7.1. How do I change my user name (email address) in Bugzilla?
New in 2.16 - go to the Account section of the Preferences. You will be
emailed at both addresses for confirmation.

An upgrade would also resolve this time-consuming Bugzilla-problem:

query.cgi javascript is as slow as molasses
