I guess this is not only a problem for providing tools but for Cocoon in general. On which part of Cocoon can you rely? It seems there are only the sitemap and the sitemap component interfaces. Not much to be supported by tools ... So either Cocoon must more follow standard ways or really *define* its own standards. See how fast Spring evolved. This could only happen as a result of its easy "interface", the bean configuration and the Java bean standard (setters/getters).
