What OS/hardware are you using?

Debian GNU/Linux

$ uname -a
Linux eccen 5.10.0-32-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.223-1 (2024-08-10)
x86_64 GNU/Linux

One more thing to check. Is "autoreconf" installed?

Yes, it is.

$ autoreconf --version
autoreconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.69
Copyright (C) 2012 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
License GPLv3+/Autoconf: GNU GPL version 3 or later

Hmm. A little older than the version I am using but only a couple of versions.

Looking at the version info, this looks like Debian 11. Is that correct? I might try setting up a VM to see what is going on.

Mark
