Phil, thanks for working on it.
Is there a chance for 2.x release?

Gary, Emmanuel, I've got another case (I don't try searching the cases,
they somehow appear out of nowhere).

JMeter's documentation is written in XML and it uses Velocity Anakia +
Velocity 1.7 for generating HTML.
org.apache.velocity:velocity:1.7 depends on commons-lang:commons-lang:2.4

Sure that approach might be questionable, however, it is what it is.

Just in case you wonder, Velocity 1.7 does use the problematic
ClassUtils.getClass():
https://github.com/apache/velocity-engine/blob/1.7/src/java/org/apache/velocity/app/FieldMethodizer.java#L125

Frankly, I fully understand it would be great to rewrite the docs so they
do not use Anakia + Velocity 1.7, however,
well, it is quite a significant amount of docs, and the update would take a
while.
