Hey,
Sorry for the delay in responding; I've been dealing with my dad being in ICU
as a result of a stroke and now dealing with the after care and sifting through
over 1,200 emails.
Soo...long and short of it:
I used to handle all of the logistics for OSCON. Someone will need to fill out
the application; if approved, someone will need to handle the paperwork - all
the other logistics will be in the approval letter (ordering booth,
electricity, etc. for the booth). You'll also need to order swag to have it
delivered to the address that they will provide in the approval letter. You'll
have to coordinate the swag arrival/shipping out through the conference
shipping coordinator, the name escapes me right now (just started my dad's 4pm
dialysis session), but it will be on the application approval paperwork.
I still have the honking 8x8 wall banner and a table skirt that I'm happy to
ship to whomever is taking lead. I believe both are current w/the newest logo.
After OSCON, they can be shipped to whomever will be handling these items.
Thanks,~M

I've had it in my mind that I should try documenting things as much as
possible, so I started a little blurb about this on comdev wiki as a child of
the howto page:
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/COMDEV/Booth+Duty

Patches welcome - particularly around who has materials and how we might have
materials shipped.

Any pointers in particular? The only folks I could think to ask are Sharan (who
has likely already seen this), Sally or maybe Sam?

I haven't seen an update about GOTO Con Chicago regarding materials (will
follow up there) - if Trevor has some landed roller banners or other materials,
I could get them from him before heading off to Portland.

Daniel Takamori and Filip Hanik have responded on members@. I'm happy to
proceed with five volunteers.

No problem... it's an excuse to get folks together while several of us will be
around :-)
