@robertkowalski yes, but with one moment as @garrensmith noted about
checking local docs availability. I think it would be something like this:

resp = Fauxton.request("/_utils/docs")
if resp.status_code == 404 :
version = Fauxton.get_version
if "+build" in version: version = "latest"
else: version = format_version_for_rtd(version)
Fauxton.redirect_to("http://docs.couchdb.org/en/" + version + "/" +
