Previously, we agreed as a group to alternating times for our weekly IRC meetings. Half of the weeks we would meet at 9AM ET / 2PM UK time, and the other half at 3PM ET / 8PM UK.
I've noticed that for the weeks where we were supposed to be meeting at 9AM, the meetings aren't being held at all. By contrast, we hold most (but not all!) of the evening sessions on the alternate weeks. I want to keep things friendly for Europeans who don't want to stay up late, but evidence suggests we might just do best to move to a single time and hold meetings only every other week. If this were to happen, we'd cancel this week's IRC meeting (would be 9AM ET) and move to a twice-a-month setup, starting next week at the 3PM ET time. If there is any desire to revive the 9AM meetings, I'd rather let things stand - the intent of the meetings remains to involve as many people as possible. This proposal is simply to change the stated schedule to reflect reality. -Joan
