Summary: Unable to see a design doc with special characters in _id
in the sidebar immediately after creating it

to see the bug:
1. click on a plus, and click 'new view',
2. make sure for 'Save to Design Document', <New document> is selected
3. where it says 'newDesignDoc', type in a string that has a special character,
for example, %, $, ?, #, \ , or (comma)
symbols %$,
you won't see the design doc option immediately in the sidebar
(although it shows up after clicking around some),
also: you won't be able to see it's views when it does show up in the sidebar
symbols ? and # breaks the UI,
symbol \ doesn't save as '\' (backslash)
