## Description: Apache CouchDB software is a document-oriented database that can be queried and indexed in a MapReduce fashion using JavaScript. CouchDB also offers incremental replication with bi-directional conflict detection and resolution. ## Project Status: Current project status: Ongoing Issues for the board: none ## Membership Data: Apache CouchDB was founded 2008-11-19 (18 years ago) There are currently 74 committers and 18 PMC members in this project. The Committer-to-PMC ratio is roughly 5:2. Community changes, past quarter: - No new PMC members. Last addition was Glynn Bird on 2023-03-14. - No new committers. Last addition was James Coglan on 2026-03-24. ## Project Activity: - Continued work on next feature and bugfix releases. - Nano sub-project (Node.js client library) plans major new releases to achieve a no-dependencies situation for improved supply-chain security. Current stable release will be supported for 12 more months after the new release comes out. No API changes expected. ## Community Health: - slower as-per northern-hemisphere summer time activities across the board, but still continued stream of contributions, issues etc. Best Jan —
