Bug986Plugin read and modified field annotations through reflection on private codemodel fields. When XJC runs on the module path, codemodel does not open its packages, so the reflection failed: the plugin printed stack traces and silently left @XmlSchemaType(name = "anySimpleType") in place. Other failures caused a NullPointerException that aborted the XJC run. Use the public JVar.annotations()/removeAnnotation() and JAnnotationUse.getAnnotationClass()/getAnnotationMembers() methods, available since Jakarta JAXB 3.0.0, instead. The generated code is unchanged on the class path. Add tests running XJC with the plugin on the class path and on the module path. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
