`ItemSketchLongSerDe`, `ItemSketchDoubleSerDe`, and `ItemSketchFloatSerDe` read fixed-width values without validating that the requested byte range exists. A truncated serialized sketch, a negative offset, or an offset beyond the buffer therefore causes a slice-bounds panic instead of returning the `error` exposed by `DeserializeManyFromSlice`. The string SerDe already validates the complete range and returns `offset out of bounds`. The numeric SerDes should behave consistently so callers such as KLL, frequencies, reservoir sampling, and varopt deserializers can propagate malformed-input errors rather than crash. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
