## Summary - validate the complete byte range before decoding fixed-width long, double, and float items - return `offset out of bounds` instead of panicking on truncated data or invalid offsets - avoid item-count multiplication overflow before allocation - add regression coverage for truncation, invalid offsets, and oversized counts across all three numeric SerDes Closes #189. ## Why These SerDes are used by KLL, frequencies, reservoir sampling, and varopt deserializers. Their APIs return errors, but malformed numeric payloads currently trigger slice-bounds panics.
