- Signature is good; SHA-512 matches
- Source zip matches tag 5.3.0-rc1 (5b5524f5); only addition is
  git.properties
- LICENSE and NOTICE present, third-party code listed in LICENSE,
  no binaries
- Built and ran the unit tests on macOS 26.6.2 (25G83, Apple Silicon)
  with Apple clang 21.0.0 and CMake 4.4.4: all 17 test suites pass
