Hmm.

I know, one shouldn't rely on Google, but let's try it with "view
ansicht datenbank":

http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/product_manuals/sqlanywhere/0901/de/html/dbrfde9/00000335.htm
(Don't say iAnywhere isn't a professional company)

http://www.dfpug.de/loseblattsammlung/sonderh/ausgabe/sonderh_vfp/views/views.html
(okay: that does not really sounds like a big name)

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/deu/default.asp?url=/library/deu/fox7help/html/dgtskaccessingremotedata.asp
(Microsoft ... Microsoft ... I think heard this name before ... also in
the context of databases ...)

So, I wouldn't say that "Sicht" is the only german term for views,
instead "Ansicht" also seems to be used. That said, and given that
personally, I don't really have a preference for either of the two, I
can only rely on our linguists.

Ciao
Frank
