SUN Microsystems is excited to announce the Open Translation web site, a
web site that is intended to serve as a source of comprehensive
information on translation best practices for anyone who is interested
in software translation/localization.
The TLIS (Translation and Language Information Services) Language Leads
have consolidated their knowledge and experience on software translation
on this web site, so this is our way for spreading the word about what
we (SUN) do - *SHARING!*
The target audience is not limited to the people interested in the "big
rules" languages - the web site is structured in a way that enables
anyone (regardless the target language) to use the information on tools
and processes provided for their language projects in order to produce a
proper translation.
We believe that this web site will support SUN's strategy on working
closer and sharing with the Open Source communities and we hope for a
high acceptance by Open Source community members throughout the world
and other people interested in the field of translation.
