Hi Eberhard, JIRA will not turn into a DMAP database. It's just a way to track (and archive) contributions from people who are not committers. If the PMC then decides to incorporate this data one of the committers will add it to the repo, using the JIRA issue as a commit message, like we do for regular issues.
