Emmanuel Lecharny commented on DIRSHARED-78:
--------------------------------------------
OTOH, modifying a schema element is not a mandated Schema operation by the RFC.
More than that, it's a complex operation, as it involve many processing on the
server side.
I would suggest that the schema editor handle such modification by generating
two operations (delete + add).
Keep in mind that the LDAP server allowing direct update of the schema will
most certainly not allow a modification : they will just allow addition or
deletion.
> Schema registries are not getting updated after adding a new AT to an
> ObjectClass entry present in the Schema partition

> When a new mandatory(MUST) AT is added to an existing OC then this new OC is
> not properly loaded into the schema registries, as a result server is not
> able to prevent invalid entries from getting added.
