Stefan Seelmann commented on DIRKRB-295:
----------------------------------------
Regarding 3 and 4: As mentioned you can use paged search to retrieve all
entries. I only found this integration test that does paged search, most tests
use JNDI, only one uses the LDAP API:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/directory/apacheds/trunk/server-integ/src/test/java/org/apache/directory/server/operations/search/PagedSearchIT.java
But please don't start iimplementing it. I'd question if
{{IdentityService.getIdentities()}} makes sense at all. What if the backend
stores millions of users, then all of them would be loaded into memory.
Currently only {{Kadmin}} uses this method to print or export the identities.
I'm sure the {{IdentityService.getIdentities()}} needs to be changed sooner or
later, for example by returning an Iterator or (Java 8) Stream instead of a
List.
