Hi Stefan, I'm currently reviewing the release.
Atm, i'm blocked in the code signing part on mac. As i'm trying to package strio on my mac, at some point, it executes codesign and fials, because it alledgedly can't find my Apple dev certificate in my keychain (although I have properly imported it...).
I wonder if you had faced the issue yoruself, and if so, how did you mitigated the problem ? Google is not very helpfull....
Thanks! On 11/04/2020 21:12, Stefan Seelmann wrote:
Hi all, this is a vote for the next Studio release. Most important fixes and improvements: * Fix compatibility with latest Eclipse version, many users complained about that. * Remove JNDI layer and fix handling of binary attributes, thanks to latest LDAP API. * Add support for RFC 3062 Password Modify Extended Operation. * Documentation updated, especially for the ApacheDS configuration editor. Regarding artifacts/packages * All source and binary packages have a PGP signature as required. * The macOS DMG is additionally signed with my Apache Apple signature, but not yet notarized by Apple. Installation on (a cloud-based) macOS Catalina 10.15.4 still worked without any warning. * The Windows installer is not signed additionally. Installation shows a warning when starting the installer. * The Eclipse update site artifacts (jars) are not signed additionally. Installation from the update site shows a warning during installation. * 32 bit binary archives and installers have been removed, 32 bit support was dropped by Eclipse last year. Known issue with latest OpenJDK/AdoptOpenJDK 11.0.6 or 14+36 on macOS: * Studio (and latest Eclipse) does not start, error message `Error: could not find libjava.dylib`. * Reason is a recent change required for Apple notarization. * Should be fixed in 11.0.7 which is released next week. Workarounds mentioned in links below: * Use AdoptOpenJDK 11.0.5 or 8 * Fix symlink to libjli.dylib References: * https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=559482 * https://github.com/AdoptOpenJDK/openjdk-support/issues/52 The full release notes are here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12310590&version=12343929 Git tag: https://gitbox.apache.org/repos/asf?p=directory-studio.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/tags/2.0.0.v20200411-M15 https://github.com/apache/directory-studio/tree/2.0.0.v20200411-M15 Nexus staging repository: https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachedirectory-1190/ Distribution packages (source, binary archives and installers, update site): https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/directory/studio/2.0.0.v20200411-M15/ User guides: https://directory.apache.org/studio/users-guide/2.0.0.v20200411-M15/ Please cast your vote: [ ] +1 : release Apache Directory Studio 2.0.0.v20200411-M15 [ ] ± 0 : I don't care [ ] -1 : No, don't release Apache Directory Studio 2.0.0.v20200411-M15 Kind Regards, Stefan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
