Indeed, I didn't notice that. In Studio we never configured that. I think in Windows there were never alternating row background. On macOS they are still there. On Linux I also remember I saw them. I think it depends on Eclipse and it's underlying SWT framework, and the underlying toolkit, GTK3 in case of Linux. Also the selected theme. If I change the in my XFCE "Appearance" the style to "High Contrast" the alternate background colors appear again. I also found issue https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/issues/581, something they changed in GTK. It's possible to force a background color in Studio. But I'm not sure if we should do it. There are other requests to better support themes (especially dark theme), so hard-coding colors won't work with that.
