Check the {{modification logs view}}
(https://directory.apache.org/studio/users-guide/2.0.0.v20200411-M15/ldap_browser/tools_modification_logs_view.html)
for the LDAP request that Studio sends to the server when you modify the
password. If you post it here make sure to not use a real password in case you
don't hash it on the client side.
You can also send a modify request to the server via {{ldapmodify}} cmdline
tool to see if that makes any difference.
If not you have to ask the server admin if something has changed and how to
change the password.
