I've been offering to help moderate it. The spam was getting to be
ridiculous for a while.
The Google group is nice. It does seem simpler to keep the old list tho if
we can eliminate/cut down spam.
Here's 2 posts from the Google group since people probably didn't see em:

A few people want to make P2P more prominent on the download page. On
the third dropdown ('Select your download site'), couldn't we add a
link to the .torrent at the top like ***BitTorrent P2P download***?
Maybe give a little more information so only people that know what
they're doing use it. I don't see what the difference is between a link
for the install file or a link to the .torrent.
Is there no way to do a diff update from 2.0.1 -> 2.0.2 like in Firefox
1.5 now? It seems like a big bandwidth waste downloading 80-100 megs
for an update.

This should be possible, although if we are going to follow that method then
I would like to include the magnet and ed2k links as well. But why does the
main download page not have a random mirror script anyway? Then we could
just say 'Select your download method' and give the options Http, Ftp,
Torrent, Magnet, Ed2k.
How easy this would be depends on how the mirror list is maintained (which I
do not know). If it is automated then it could be tricky, but if it is just
a manual list then we could easily add the torrent files, and treat them as
a seperate mirror, and the magnet and ed2k links could be added as well,
since they are still legal URI's.
