I would like to help out in any way I can. Right now I'm moderating the spam off the list (but approving everything else), so hopefully everyone will see less spam.
There are a few pages that I think could use some minor corrections/changes: http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.1/index.html 1. Promote OpenOffice.org If you would like to help promote OpenOffice.org your are welcome to place your favorite button at your site. 'your are' should be changed to 'you are' 2. On the same page, the BitTorrent Downloads! link points to http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/download.html . That goes to a Page moved type page that then forwards you to http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/ . Wouldn't it just be easier if the original link went there? 3. The third option for selecting download site would be nice if we emphasized P2P and had these at the top of the list: P2P: BitTorrent P2P: Magnet Link P2P: ed2k link I know theres a separate page for P2P & I hope I'm not making it out to be more important than it is, but I think sharing bandwidth is better than paying for it. Encourage people to use P2P especially if they already have something like BT installed. If not, using the regular links is fine. Here's the part of the script, which is above me: '<select name="mirror" onchange="javascript:formHandler(this.options[selectedIndex].value)">\n'+ '<option value="">Select your download site</option></select>\n'+ 4 & 5. Once you select language, os, download site you are brought to a page like http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.1/contribute.html?continue=ftp%3A//ftp.op enoffice.skynet.be/pub/ftp.openoffice.org/stable/2.0.1/OOo_2.0.1_Win32Intel_ install.exe . I think it would be nice if this page would be in the language you selected a few seconds before. That makes another page to translate, but it would be a nice touch & helpful to users. This page should also have the information from the previous page since this is the last page that will be open once you have downloaded the install file: Documentation * System Requirements * Installation Instructions & Guides: Windows & Linux * Mac OS X (X11) installation information * Set Up Guide (pdf) * User Guide * Release Notes Of course, this would be nice if translated pages were offered, at least for the Installation Instructions.
