do you want me to create a perl script for you ? :D

The generation of the magnet and ed2k links ? If not, can you be more
specific ?

Very true. You, as a major project in the OpenSource world have a lot
to say. Maybe you can talk with the teams behind wget, lftp, kget,
you_name_it. I really think that metalink has great potential.
Also, if you are willing to further help metalink, can you provide me a
file with the mirrors list for OpenOffice ? I toked the web page with
mirrors and made some perl script to parse it and extract the
information I needed. This method is not a very good one, since I want
to have all the time the updated list of OpenOffice mirrors, and now
this is not possible. I guess that you have a database with all the
official mirrors of OpenOffice.
Also, if the OpenOffice project will support metalink I have no doubt
that other projects will follow. All that metalink needs is support and
popularity from a "trusted source".
PS: I added anthony in Cc . Please don't forget to add him in our reply.
