Yes I'd like to make some noise with this build.
At this time I'm uploading the most popular downloads: en-US, de and
fr (6 builds in total for this milestone) to the extended mirrors, and
will update the mac port pages with direct links to them in the servers.
They will appear in extended/ooomisc/MacOSX/ using the same filenames
as maho has given them.
I would like to have the torrents setup if possible.
Knowing how popular the Aqua build is, I would like to ramp up the
publicity over ~3 days, rather than try and splash it everywhere in a
few hours and cause a problem with the download servers. BitTorrent
should lessen the problem.
If everyone is happy with the recent changes list on the aqua.html
page below can we use the same list (though maybe a different order)
for all places.
Late today, I'll update the mac port site with a news item informing
people about the new build. I will also put a blog post on my blog.
Tomorrow, I'll update VersionTracker (there is a hidden item for the
aqua development builds, it will become visible again when ).
Then on Thursday or Friday, if the download servers (remember it is
only the extended mirrors that are being used) haven't fallen over,
due to all the news sites, place a news item on the home page http://www.openoffice.org/
.
