The board didn't vote on funding for Outreachy at all. The discussion could not be completed in the time available. We removed this item from the budget, so that we could bypass the discussion and pass the budget. Repeat: no vote (neither formal nor informal) was taken on Outreachy funding, and certainly no negative result to such a vote. Nonetheless, I believe that the form in which a sponsor pays Outreachy directly, rather than through the ASF, helps us in several ways, and I'd hope that we pursue that.
