Hey [~mattsicker], you're right on the asf-site topic. We use that over at
[https://github.com/apache/couchdb-www] (though we don't currently have a
compile-and-deploy approach.) The manual process is also outlined here:

My understanding is that there are ways to automate the deployment using
Jenkins jobs through a special agreement from Infra. You have to target your
job to the `git-websites` labeled nodes. If you need special tooling, it's best
to build a Docker image containing those tools, then run your job inside that
Docker container. Or, we can get Infra to install those tools for us on the
`git-websites` labeled nodes. There's more details in this thread:
