Hi!

My name is Tara Hess and I would very much like to help with the
documentation project. I have an MA in history and an MLS with an
emphasis in Information Architecture. I have many years of experience
in supporting users of varying skill levels and developing detailed
instructions for doing routine computer tasks.
Welcome to the project.

I think OpenOffice is great and I'd like to see it gain more market
share in the office suite sector. I work for a non-profit currently
and know that we would benefit greatly from such a product. Many
users still feel skeptical about a free product, but I think that good
documentation can help mitigate many of those fears.
Most definately. Good documentation and a willingness for the person to take that first step, will do wonder for the project.

Thanks for your consideration! If you need to see my resume, I can
send it along.
No need to send a resume. Your work will speak for itself. We have several people here willing to check over documentation, etc.

We have several different areas where you can help. You can look over the task list that is on the http://documentation.openoffice.org website to see some of the items that need to be worked on.

There is a setup guide that is being worked on, if you would like to help with that, I'll send you the Issue ID.

There is also some work being done on a User Guide, off site. You can look over some things on there site at <http://www.oooauthors.org>.

I look forward to having you on the team.
