I've uploaded my first cut at a new main page for the Docs
Project, and a page for contributors. Start here:

This page still needs a lot of tweaking, but you can get the
idea. (For example, the icons need to be smaller and the
alignment tidied up.)
I moved some things from this page to the Contributing page,
http://documentation.openoffice.org/contributing.html
The Contributing page is very rudimentary right now. I know I
have some other things I want to add to it, but I can't think of
them at the moment.
Comments on both pages are welcome! (Including suggestions of
better icons. I grabbed these from Openclipart.org in a hurry.)
