I suppose is is possible but I cannot find it it the master source.
Please give chapter and verse and page number in the pdf. I ask because
doing a search for all instances of straight in acroread did not give
the result you claim to have found.
I noticed it in the PDF. Maybe it has since been corrected. Where are
the source files for that guide located? I'll check it when I return
later today--family visits, etc.

You will notice on the issue there is a master document and a bunch of
chapters. These are also in need of updates, particularly screenshots
and maybe some icons, although by using the default icon set mostly
eliminates this problem, and the text. I am working on the Writer
chapter but am also accepting revisions for others so long as they
remember to enable Record and Show changes. Scott Carr, our lead, is
working on the Base chapter but you should ask him on the list whether
or not he need/wants collaboration.
You must have had a "short" in your search engine (or else we're
comparing two different docs). The one I downloaded recently was:
[OpenOffice.org User Guide for 2.0]; [0.15]; First edition: [2005-04-11].
The culprit lurks on page 97: "Creating a new Style on the basis of an
existing Style is a _*straight forward*_ process."
