Also, does anyone know of any documentation for OOo development that
describes its internationalization and localization features?
marbux, try to find a forum for this inside Ooo-site, and tell results.
Mikko, just to make sure I didn't miss something, do you propose any
changes
to the outline other than dealing with internalization and localization
issues?
Well, I don't now, but my style to work on this kind of things is rather
to look for examples
of similar stuff from various places and then gather the final
application combining bits and pieces,
and maybe put something original in between. That way I usually get also
new ideas and approaches.
In programming you often have to go around a problem. If you have too
fixed plan, it's more
likely that you wind to a dead end and find yourself banging your head
on a wall.
I did get allready some ideas of the pleadingpaper templates that was
introduced on our
mailing list. I would like to see also somebody else to present a
lookalike or a draft, and
then explaining what is still missing in it and what don't work like
intended.
I kind of squeezed everything I could from the row-numbering approach.
I think it is a good compromize for now, because other approaches would
need new ideas,
and time. I think that I keep a pause from this pleadingpaper project
for now.
My goal is to get Knomos development to the next phase before I keep a
summer vacation.
I also have some other business to take care of before that, but we'll
get back to this
in a while.
By the way, in Finland there is not needed any row-numbering or strict
rules about pleadingpaper.
So my motivation of putting much work on how it looks is not as high as
you guys in USA.
It's more the contents that matter here. I'm now more interested of
systems and legislation
by which you can file and receive documents thrue internet. This
is more common in
other administration, but is coming to courts as well. It then very much
works in the
form that the courts and ministry of Justice wants, and there is very
strict rules on
how and in which form the exchange of information is conducted.
Best regards
Mikko
