Hello Druids, There is growing interest <https://github.com/datainfrahq/druid-operator/issues/212> surrounding the Druid Operator's project governance. We see many benefits to a community owned operator and would like to take this opportunity to contribute the project to the Apache Software Foundation (ASF).
Here's what's needed (full details <https://incubator.apache.org/ip-clearance/ip-clearance-template.html?>): 1. We must identify current maintainers of the Druid Operator <https://github.com/datainfrahq/druid-operator>. 2. Since Apache prefers donations, we need consent from the current maintainers to contribute the project to the ASF. A note from the primary maintainers would suffice. 3. Each maintainer or major contributor, will need to provide either a Software Grant <https://www.apache.org/licenses/software-grant-template.pdf>, Individual CLA, or Corporate CLA. 4. Apache Druid committers should be added as committers to the Druid Operator project to ensure ongoing maintenance. If you are a current maintainer of the Druid Operator, please identify yourself so we can proceed with consent and software grants. Additionally, any Apache Druid committers interested in volunteering for project maintenance would be appreciated. I have already begun a draft of the IP clearance template.
