Hi Druids,

I’d like to propose starting informal Druid community office hours: a
1-hour session once a month where users, members and contributors can
connect, discuss and get help with PRs/reviews/issues attended to. Other
projects/communities do something similar and I believe the Druid community
had tried this in the past as well.

This would be a completely voluntary community effort, not affiliated with
Apache or any employer and adhere to the policy
<https://www.apache.org/foundation/marks/events>.

I think this could help bring the community together. If there’s sufficient
interest, we could try it monthly to start and adjust from there.

If there are no objections, I’m happy to kick this off sometime early next
month. For now, I’m thinking we can announce it on this dev thread and the
Apache Druid Slack channel, and find volunteers as we go.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions or concerns. Also, if you’d
like to volunteer to run the office hours with me or independently, please
reply to this thread as well.

Thanks,
Abhishek
