I think we should make an effort here to support their naming convention. I'm assuming it's not difficult to do, and this plugin is a bit of a special case anyway. Furthermore, we should release this plugin separately from the core (we just need to release both the core and this plugin asap, maybe even the plugin first and then the 1.0 core release).
