Ok, the temporary site is up and running at

In the meantime I got a response from infra that the way we manage our
website is not the way it should be :)
Felix was an early adopter of cwiki as a web site management approach -
a better approach has since been worked out.
We should sync the confluence pages to felix.apache.org, in order to
make the web server deliver the pages and not confluence.
It is more so that eos (I think) serves the pages, not brutus. That
leaves Brutus to concentrate on confluence and jira, which it probably
needs to concentrate upon.
This is described here in the autoexporter section:
http://cwiki.apache.org/CWIKI/
I think it makes sense to go this way.
WDYT?
I agree. But then I was the one that responded to Carsten on infra@ :-)

So how do we proceed? I'll ask infrastructure if someone can change the
script for us. In the meantime, we could put the download.cgi and
download.html to felix.apache.org and point to that. WDYT?
Yes, asking infrastructure for a change would be good. I think in theory
we could even "fix" it ourselves by copying their script, but then we
would have to maintain it ourselves (unless we can create a wrapper that
simply copies "our" page to the location of the script and then executes
the standard script).
In parallel we could make the menu point to the download.cgi directly, I
agree.
I put the files up to felix.apache.org, I'm not sure if they're 100%
correct as I hand-edited them :) As soon as they are available I'll
check them.
