No, there are no issues. I use 1.4.2 personally, but our goal is to be
1.3 compatible.

Can we set this in our pom file?

done - it was using a target of 1.4, I've dropped this down to 1.3

also note the following sub-projects currently use different settings:

   mishell 1.6
   jmxintrospector 5 # should this be 1.5 ?
   ipojo/annotations 1.5

as they use new language features

Additionally, we should start using the foundation execution environment
JAR from OSGi Alliance to make sure we don't use improper methods. Is
this something else we can set up in our pom?

not sure, will look into this...

Hi All,

Is there any reason to produce 1.4 classes?

I've tried to recompile the whole Felix bundles for JVM 1.3 and it
worked perfectly.

I think it would be nice to target the minimum JVM class version, in
order to provide the best compatibility. What do you think?

P.S.: I'm referring only to bytecode version not to classlibrary
provided by the JRE.
