Consistently having a third column makes sense. I talked to our designer (who
also made the initial layout for the site) and he agreed that having a third
column on our site makes sense. Normally it might be a bit too much, but since
the audience is fairly technical and knowledgeable, it's not a problem here. He
did advise to:
a) make that column of a fixed width, aligning it with the Apache logo at the
top;
b) remove some whitespace between the headers and the list items so they seem
to belong together more.
