I have a slightly updated patch, but if the current patch is under review, I
think it would be best to commit the current patch and I will create a second
patch with the rest of the modifications.
BTW, I would like to change FilterImpl to use generics, but given that it is
somehow complex, it would be nice if there were some test for the class. Do you
know where those tests are?
