Hello Fesod Community, Thank you all for reviewing RC4. Below I confirm the origin of each issue raised and the actions already taken, so we can converge quickly.
1. Two source artifacts Origin: `apache-fesod-2.1.0-incubating-src.tar.gz` is the canonical Apache source release, generated by `git archive` of the tagged commit (715cccb4). `fesod-parent-2.1.0-incubating-source-release.zip` is a helper produced by the Maven `apache-release` deploy (maven-assembly-plugin) for the Maven ecosystem; it is not a second, independent source release. The confusion came from listing both in the VOTE email without explaining the relationship. Resolution: the object of this vote is the single canonical source tarball. Going forward we will not publish the zip as a co-listed community source artifact in dist/dev; it will only be kept on the Nexus staging side and clearly labeled there. If a second archive is ever needed, the reason will be documented in the VOTE email itself, following PJ Fanning's and tison's guidance. 2. KEYS file under dist/dev Origin: KEYS is maintained in one authoritative location only, the releases channel (https://downloads.apache.org/incubator/fesod/KEYS). A KEYS copy had been uploaded to dist/dev in an earlier cycle and was not removed afterwards, which was a mistake on our side. tison removed it (r87349) - that is correct. The release process will now enforce that dist/dev never contains a KEYS file. 3. Obsolete release candidates in dist/dev Origin: the dist/dev publish step added a new candidate but did not prune superseded ones when a candidate was canceled, so RC1-RC3 accumulated. Action: RC1/RC2/RC3 have been removed (r87353); dist/dev/incubator/fesod now contains only 2.1.0-incubating-rc4. Pruning obsolete candidates is now a standard step of every release/cancel, as suggested. I hope this clarifies each point, will prepare the new RC later.
