Just a newbie here and apologies if this is an interruption..
I've been looking at services for community organisations and two things
I've come across are Yunohost.org and Coopcloud.tech
Both of these are designed to offer a package of services and
applications (such as Domain and user management, backup, email, SSL
Certificates, Ngnix etc then file sharing with NextCloud as well a suite
of other applications CRM, ERP etc. ) for an organisation. Yunohost is
more developed but Coopcloud.tech is more scalable (container based)
both run on Linux and can be easily spun up either self hosted or on Cloud.
One thought I had was to see if I could create package to include Mifos
inside Yunohost . Basically creating a turnkey Credit Union based
completely on Open source software. Using Yunohost or Coopcloud.tech
would make it easier to deal with all of those points below.
If anyone is interested .. do let me know .. be cool to work with
someone on this.

Listening on localhost is the expected behaviour for the default
installation of Mifos X.
If you require to expose the IP to external connections (intranet or
internet), you have to secure the connections (HTTPs) using digital
certificates, setup a firewall, setup a Two-way SSL Authentication,
setup an API Gateway, setup a SQL proxy, setup an antivirus or
antimalware, etc. Depending on your deployment platform the options
for achieving it are different.
