Hello Fineract Community, My name is Spoorthi, a 6th semester Information Science student from India. I am new to contributing to Apache projects and have recently subscribed to the Fineract developer mailing list.
I am exploring the 2026 idea list and am particularly interested in the “BI Connector and Analytics Demonstration” project. At the moment, I am in the early learning stage and am trying to understand how data flows within Apache Fineract, especially from an analytics and reporting perspective. I have started setting up Fineract locally and going through the documentation and APIs to build a basic understanding. As a beginner, I would really appreciate guidance on: - Which parts of the Fineract codebase or APIs are best to explore first for analytics and reporting - Any recommended starting points (documentation, modules, or examples) for understanding reporting or data extraction in Fineract My goal is to learn the Apache contribution process step by step and contribute meaningfully over time.
