👋 Welcome Aira Jena! Good luck!
And please keep it up. Your work is valuable and your communication is
excellent across our many channels (PR comments, JIRA issues, this
mailing list, Slack chat). I've enjoyed working with you on the chat
archive tool <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2478> and
improving the project website
<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2484>, and it's clear
you have much more value to add.
dev list FYI: thanks to Aira Jena the chat archive tool is almost ready
and (separately) our project website is now verified 100% green in the
ASF whimsy checker tool. See attached before & after screenshots and see
the live tool output <https://whimsy.apache.org/site/project/fineract>.
We'll share the chat archive soon once the MVP is online.

Hi everyone,
My name is Aira Jena, and I’m a Computer Science student from India.
I’ve been actively contributing to Apache Fineract, Fineract-site,
Fineract-Chat-Archive over the past few weeks and am preparing to
apply for GSoC 2026.
My primary focus is Java backend development. I’ve been working on
areas around documentation tooling, build scripts, and feature
enhancements, and I’m currently exploring architectural aspects of
Fineract to deepen my understanding of the system.
I’m particularly interested in contributing to backend and
improvements and would appreciate any guidance on areas where
contributions are needed.
Looking forward to continuing to learn and contribute to the community.
Thanks,
Aira Jena
