Well, I have asked trademarks@ for guidance, but my understanding is that
Flex is a trademark of Apache and Apache can oppose a domain name if the
domain name and its content can confuse folks about who owns the
trademark.    It might matter that Adobe did not always enforce the Flex
trademark, but I doubt it.  I expect Apache will approve most domain names
that relate to Flex and have "Flex" but not "Apache" in the domain name,
but they will want to know about it and make sure disclaimers are in
place.  And, they may approve a domain name with "Apache" in it depending
on circumstances.  I'm honestly not sure.
