Hi everyone, I would like to discuss a new Apache Flink 1.20.6 patch release. I can volunteer as the release manager.
Since Apache Flink 1.20.5 was announced on June 14, 2026 (UTC) [1], the release-1.20 branch has accumulated these notable fixes: - FLINK-40335 [2] - Prevent job failures from corrupted hybrid shuffle indexes. - FLINK-40269 [3] - Fix restore failures after rescaling from unaligned checkpoints. - FLINK-39481 [4] - Prevent window results from being silently lost at end of input. - FLINK-40705 [5] - Fix incorrect MAP values and failures in PyFlink pandas UDFs. - FLINK-40539 [6] - Hide sensitive configuration values in SQL Gateway responses. The branch comparison [7] and Jira version [8] provide the full scope. Before cutting a release candidate, please advise whether these items need action for this release: - FLINK-40812 [9] - Window aggregations can return incorrect results. - FLINK-40657 [10][11] - Stopped split fetchers can cause memory use to grow. - FLINK-35661 [12][13] - Mini-batch aggregation can silently drop records. - CI [14] - AdaptiveScheduler / Test (module: core): the Java 8 test fork exited with code 239; no failing test case was reported. Please let me know if there are any other issues we should consider before cutting a release candidate.
