Hi Mikhail,

Below are the details they give me :

Hi Sophie,

Sorry, but the error report seems to be very strange for ActiveX
control. I would suspect that ActiveX control is not used in this case
at all.
If ActiveX control is installed and activated, then in case of a problem
while opening the document in MSIE I would expect currently a kind of
message "API call exited abnormally".

This message appears once OOo said that the file doesn't exist.

 Most of the OOo error reports
should be disabled. Is document opening triggered by clicking to a link
in MSIE?

Yes.

Could you please explain the scenario in details. How the file opening
is triggered ( klick to a link in MSIE, drag and drop to MSIE, OOo or MS
system FileOpen dialog and etc. )? Which protocol is used in the
link/URL ( http:, file: and etc. or just a system path to a file in the
file system )?

I can send you some screen shots if needed.

- they click on a http link in MSIE that should open a .sxw file
- then OOo 2.0 claims that the http://<intranet_name/Fichiers/Courrier/fichier/754727-498-1.sxw doesn't exist
- then the error message "API call exited abnormally" appears

Opening the same url directly in IE doesn't work either.
Note that all is ok with Firefox.

They have tested other sites of the intranet (for example fr.openoffice.org) without problems.

They have make a diff file between so_activex1.dll and so_activex2.dll which give this result (where 'Erreur de comparaison' means 'comparison error' and 'fichier' means 'file')
------------------------
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 80
fichier1 = CB
fichier2 = EC
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 81
fichier1 = 61
fichier2 = D3
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 82
fichier1 = 6D
fichier2 = 9A
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 83
fichier1 = C7
fichier2 = D9
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 84
fichier1 = 8F
fichier2 = A8
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 85
fichier1 = 0
fichier2 = B2
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 86
fichier1 = 3
fichier2 = F4
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 87
fichier1 = 94
fichier2 = 8A
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 88
fichier1 = 8F
fichier2 = A8
Erreur de comparaison … OFFSET 89
fichier1 = 0
fichier2 = B2
10 diff‚rences - fin de la comparaison

Thanks in advance for your answer
Kind regards
Sophie
