Hi Christian

Sounds interresting

a small (maybe out of topic) question : What about icons provided in extensions (for GUI, toolbars or menu) actually, you setup your addon.xcu and point to an icon and the mapping to te _h is done automagically. The author only have to provide the 4 icons (16, 16_h, 26, 26_h)

What would be the difference if we define contrast as a theme ?
Maybe Carsten could answer ?

Hi Laurent,

I don't think that we have to change anything for extensions. Extensions are not part of the OpenOffice.org product and therefore are not part of an icon theme. I would propose to not change anything regarding the Addons.xcu and extensions. I think that the toolbar/menu code must be adapted to retrieve high contrast icons if the user/Office wants to use a high contrast theme. Therefore I would propose that themes must contain information to detect that it is a normal or high contrast theme. That would help OpenOffice.org to automatically select a suitable icon theme or retrieve the correct extension icons.

Regards,
Carsten
