Acute ugliness you mean ? :-) > Nowadays we also support switching between different icon sets. > For me it sounds like the high contrast icons are just a special > icon set. Quite - last time I proposed this there were all manner of bogus heebie jeebies about icon sets and potential unknown 'accessibility problems' from this change :-) unwilling to accept my view, or Oliver's we got Bill Haneman (RIP) to authoritatively rule, that from an a11y viewpoint this would be a good change. Unfortunately, by that time, enough of the will-to-live had been sapped that nothing got done. It would be wonderful to fix this - it would shrink our downloaded binaries, shrink our images.zip files, shrink the memory footprint to store the full .zip directory tree in memory, accelerate image lookups and of course: > 1. you do not need to deal with high contrast icons in the code > that uses controls. Oh, and of course - high-contrast icons are only one facet of the a11y problem: having a low-contrast theme in parallel is good practice too ;-) > Thats my proposal, what do you think?
