That's the same problem I have with OpenBSD ...
Options aren't recognized after non-options.
So "fsvs commit -m message" doesn't work, "fsvs -m message commit" works.

I'll try to incorporate your paths into the setup - I hope I find some way to 
get autoconf do the work.
