removing the license from jgroups configuration files

Would it be OK if I remove the Apache license from the jgroups XML 
configuration files?

There are two of them and one of them is selected and read when we join 
the distributed system.  It would shave a few cycles off the startup 
time and save a little memory if we can remove the license text.
